When the sun is out and you want a break from chaotic routine, you will be quick to accept a beach party invitation. Without giving much thought, you may just pack a few possessions and leave to have a ball with your friends.

Well, it resonates with many of us. But once we arrive at the beach, it does not take us long to realize that we have left something important at home, such a bikini that you ordered from the collection of bikinis online websites. The excitement can easily take hold of you.

Therefore, before you are headed to the beach, make it a point to pack your bag without missing out on any of the essentials. Don’t know what to carry because you have never been to a beach before? Well, taking the following items will ensure that you have the maximum fun.

Sunscreen

Indeed, exposing your skin to the sun is a soothing experience. At the same time, it could come up with potential drawbacks like severe sunburns. If your skin happens to be more delicate, it might invite skin cancer as well. That is where sunscreen comes very handy. Don’t settle for a sunscreen with low SPF, especially when the temperature is on the higher side.

To make the most of a sunscreen, you have to be well-versed about its usage. In all likelihood, you may return with skin rashes in spite of carrying sunscreen if you don’t stick to the following guidelines:

  • Many people have a tendency to scrub sunscreen in their hands before rubbing it on the face. This tactic does not help to absorb the sunscreen properly. You should rather apply it directly on the face or any other body part.
  • Sunscreen takes some time to get soaked up by our skin. So don’t run wild in the sun for a minimum of 20 minutes after applying sunscreen.

Sunglasses

Eyes are one of the most sensitive parts of the human body. In the absence of sunglasses, the UV rays can harm our eyes. But when you are at a beach, the UV rays are more dangerous because of the sunlight’s reflection in the water.

If you are going to attend a beach party where all your family members are invited, you should provide the best protection to the young eyes of your children. Generally, purchasers opt for stylish glasses to look cool while completely ignoring the tag which reveals their capacity to deter the UV rays.

Of course, it is important to pay attention to your appearance but surely not at the expense of getting an eye infection. Given the variety of sunglasses, a little bit of heel-dragging will ensure you get the best eye-protection without compromising on your looks.

Waterproof phone cases

Mobile is no more a tool to be used merely for calls or text messages. It is much more than that. For many of us, our cell-phone is pretty much a part of our body. Since mobiles are extremely vulnerable to water, you must carry a transparent waterproof cover to keep it safe.

You can easily find a phone case that does not only provide safety from water and sand but also allow you to use the touchscreen effortlessly. Don’t be tempted to pull the mobile out of the cover. By all odds, an unexpected wave can hit you at any moment and make you pay for being casual.

Pain relievers

Beach is undoubtedly one of the most fun places to be at. But if you are a party hard type of a person, you may get a hangover very early in the piece. And those who are not used to being out in the sun might have to suffer from sun headache.

It is certainly not an easy feeling to digest when everyone else is caught up in amusing activities and you have to content yourself by just laying down. So, to be on the safe side, you should make it a point to pack a few pain relievers. Don’t mix them with other items because you may have a hard time to trace them during an emergency. Rather, tuck them separately in a side pocket for easy access.

A portable charger

Picture this; you are gliding through the photographs that you have captured during the party and suddenly the mobile comes up with a spoiler alert, that is, “low-battery”. This is just the tip of the iceberg. No dramas intended but getting stuck in a remote location with a dead phone could be worrisome for many reasons.

That’s why a portable charger should always make it to your beach party luggage. Like so many people, if you have brought two mobiles – one for maintaining communication and the other for photography – you can charge both of them simultaneously.

Sandals

It is enticing to wear something like flip flops on the beach but walking on sand with this footwear is no easy business, to say the least. Comfort should take precedence over everything else. And more so, if you are joining the party with your kids because you might have to catch them walking all the way down to the other side of the shore.

Beach towel

The worst thing you can do is to confuse a bath towel with a beach towel. There is an ocean of difference between both. To begin with, the bath towels are small and beach towels are big. So how long a beach towel should be? Well, ideally, it should match your height.

Talking about color, you should go for a light one. The reason being, a dark color will be quick to absorb heat and you can’t lay on it for long with bareback. Lastly, avoid buying a very thick beach towel because you will find it difficult to accommodate in the luggage.

The final verdict

You can easily come across people who went unprepared to the beach party and had a terrible experience. If you don’t want to earn a place in this category, you better stick to the above checklist. These items will enable you to spend a carefree day at the beach and turn it into a happy lifelong memory.
